LOBIONDO'S DOUBLE-DOUBLE EFFORT NOT ENOUGH, MCC FALLS TO NORTHWEST

The Trappers of Northwest College were too much for the Pioneers on Saturday evening. MCC fell behind from the beginning, but kept it manageable in the first half, with just a 6-point deficit at the half. The Trappers came out in the second half ready to play and bested the Pioneers 99-75. Coach Chase Tait commented, “We are shooting ourselves in the foot with unforced turnovers and lack of patience. Or poor offense is putting a lot of pressure on our defense and it is suffering as a result.” With a tough stretch of games over for the Pioneers, Coach Tait is looking to pick up steam with the home games this weekend.

Andrea LoBiondo contributed a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Erie Olonade also added 19 points to the effort.

The Pioneers will be at home Thursday evening at 7:30 pm to take on Western WY.
