The Pioneers met the #22 team in the nation on Wednesday night in Sheridan, WY. The Generals played a tough game and showed why they are nationally ranked. The Pioneers could never really get a rhythm going. As a result, they fell to the Generals 70-102. Coach Chase Tait on the loss, “We ran into a buzz saw. They were coming off of a loss and really took it to us. They just out-worked us and I don’t think we competed to our capabilities. Their physical play on the perimeter and inside really took a toll on us. Tait continued, “I knew these first 3 conference games were going to be a bear and we have to find a way to dig down and pick up some momentum over the next couple of weeks.”

Perion Little was the high scorer with 23 points. Joey Lodine scored 12 off the bench and Gavin Gundlach was also in double digits with 11 points.

The Pioneers are on the road again Saturday, as they travel to Powell, WY to take on the Trappers of Northwest College.
