The Pioneers traveled to Gillette to take on the Pronghorns Wednesday night. It was a daunting task, as the Pronghorns are the #7 team in the nation. The Pioneers got off to a bad start and had trouble shooting the ball. The Pronghorns took the lead and never let up. The Pioneers were bested 68-103.

Coach Chase Tait commented, “We got down early. When you shoot 23% in a half against a really good team, you just don’t put yourself in a position to be successful. Gillette is very good and we missed a couple easy ones early and it snowballed from there.”

Andrea LoBiondo recorded a double-double for the team with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Erie Olonade was the high scorer with 18 points.

The Pioneers take on Casper College in Kailey Gymnasium Friday night at 7:30 pm.
