DAWSON TOO MUCH FOR PIONEERS

Box Score

Wednesday night the Pioneers hosted the Buccaneers from Dawson Community College. The men got off to a great start and took a 45-41 lead into the half. Dawson worked their way back into the game in the second half. The Buccaneers put together 2 big plays at the end of the game that really hurt the Pioneers and were too much to overcome. The men had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but their efforts fell short and they lost 97-93.

Despite the loss, Perion Little had a great game, scoring another season high 42 points. Erie Olonade added a double double for the Pioneers with 20 points and 10 assists.

Coach Chase Tait commented, “I thought we played well and made a lot of good plays. If it weren’t for a couple of good plays by Dawson in the second half, the outcome could have been different. In the end we just didn’t do enough to win.”

The Pioneers will be on the road next, taking on the North Dakota All Stars on Friday, December 8th at 3:00pm and Williston State on Saturday, December 9th at 5:00pm.
