The Pioneers swept the Foundation Classic over the weekend. Friday night the Pioneers took on Eastern Wyoming College and jumped out to a quick 20-3 lead after the 1st quarter and never looked back, beating the Lancers 98-61. MCC shared the ball well, having 5 players scoring in double digits: Bre Moea'i (20), Patrycja Jaworska (17), Klaudija Bacovic (13), Kyra Fleharty, and Laura Moya (10). Klaudija Bacovic also added 7 rebounds and Patrycja Jaworska led the team in assits with 6.

Saturday afternoon the Pioneers met the Storm from Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish. MCC rolled over the Storm with an impressive 45 assists to 5 turnovers. The game was never in doubt as the Pioneers scored a season high and cruised to a 130-44 victory. Patrycja Jaworska with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Dakota Dosch with 12 points and 11 rebounds recorded double-doubles for the team. Once again, the Pioneers shared the ball well with 6 players scoring in double figures: Kylee Meredith (25), Paula Rosello Mateu (18), Patrycja Jaworska (17), Kyra Fleharty (13), Dakota Dosch (12), and Marina Peinado (11). Marina Peinado also led the team with 9 assits.

Coach Nate Vogel was happy with how his team performed over the weekend, commenting; "We are off to a good start and playing well. There is a lot of season left however."

The Pioneers have the weekend off and will be on the road next to take on Bismarck State on December 1st and United Tribes on December 2nd.
