The Pioneers traveled to Devils's Lake, North Dakota to participate in the Holiday Inn Express Classic. Friday evening they took on the host team, Lake Region State College. The Pioneers started off hot, building a 10 point lead early. Coach Nate Vogel commented that "Unfortunately, Patrycja Jaworska got into foul trouble early in the first half and that forced us to adjust how we wanted to play defensively. We were unable to play our aggressive, attack style defense which allowed them to get some open looks that they knocked down. It was a tight game until the end and our team learned from it." Bre Moea'i led the team in scoring with 13. It wasn't enough, however, as the Royals bested the Pioneers 70-63.

Saturday the Pioneers faced the Jacks from Dakota College at Bottineau. Once again, the Pioneers got off to a great start, but this time they were able to keep up the momentum throughout the game. Coach Nate Vogel commented that "We started off great and never looked back. We forced 35 turnovers. After this game, our average margin of victory in our 3 wins is 29 points." Every member of the team added points to the scoreboard once again. Patrycja Jaworska and Paula Rosello Mateu were the high scorers with 13 a piece.  The Pioneers ran away with the victory 81-41.

The Pioneers head to Glendive, MT on Wednesday, November 15th to take on Dawson Community College at 5:30pm.
