Hoke Signs with MCC Baseball

Miles Community College Head Baseball Coach, Jeff Brabant, has announced the signing of Carson Hoke, a 2017 graduate of Laurel High School and team-member of the Laurel Dodgers Legion Team who stands 5-9 and plays centerfield.

Throughout his high school career, Hoke garnered awards in football and baseball. During the 2015-2016 football season, he lettered and was named Academic All State and Honorable Mention at Wide Receiver. During the 2016-2017 football season, he lettered, was named Academic All State and All Conference at Safety. During the 2015-2016 baseball season, Hoke received the Gold Glove, Centerfield. During his most recent baseball season, Hoke’s batting average was .400, on-base percentage .523, 36 runs batted in, 1 home run, 94 runs, and 51 stolen bases.

During his high school career, he was part of a three-time district championship team (2013, 2014, 2015), two-time second-place finish at State (2013, 2014), and second place finish at Regionals in 2016.

Hoke plans on majoring in business at Miles Community College. He is the son of JoDee Hoke and Dan Hoke of Laurel.
