Corvallis Outside Hitter Signs to Play Volleyball at Miles Community College

Miles City, MT – McKenzie Jessop, the Corvallis outside hitter will be proudly sporting a Pioneer blue volleyball uniform next fall. Jessop recently accepted an athletic scholarship to play for Miles Community College (MCC) in Miles City, Montana.

“I chose MCC as my college so I can pursue my love of volleyball and I can continue my education on the road to medical school.” Said McKenzie Jessop. “MCC has a very helpful staff and faculty that are very willing to help young students at any time on their road to success. MCC appeals to me because of academics, athletics, and staff.”

Jessop had a standout senior campaign tallying up 21 blocks, 350 digs, 126 kills, and 29 aces. She was also a major player on the Corvallis squad that won the divisional championship in both 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Jessop was a featured member of a team that took 2nd place at State and in her final season they finished 5th at the state tournament. Jessop earned a varsity letter for volleyball in 2015 and 2016 and was named 2nd Team All-Conference (All Around) in 2016.

McKenzie Jessop is the daughter of R. Leon Jessop II and Jessica Jessop of Pinesdale Montana and has played 3 years under the coaching of Kacie Arceniega. In addition to volleyball, Jessop also played one year of tennis in which she earned a varsity letter.

McKenzie Jessop plans on starting at Miles Community College on her way to medical school.
