Circle Volleyball Standout Signs with Miles Community College

MILES CITY, MT. Miles Community College Volleyball coach, Chase Soennichesen, is proud to announce the signing of Ashley Becker to a National Letter of Intent. Becker, the daughter of Bryan and Danielle Becker, is a 5’3 graduate from Circle High School and has officially committed to play Volleyball for the Pioneers in 2017-18.

While at Circle Ashley Becker played 3 years in volleyball, 4 years in cheerleading and 1 year in track. She was a standout volleyball player earning the Most Assists award in 2016 and also being named a 2016 KATL Player of the Week. Becker was a major player in helping Circle place second at the District tournament in 2014 before taking a first place Divisional tournament finish in-route to a 3rd place trophy at the State tournament. In 2015 Becker and the Wildcats rolled through the competition earning first place at the district and divisional levels before ultimately becoming the State Champions in 2015.

Becker had a great career at Circle as she carried an 85% serve percentage with 52 aces 837 assists, 74 kills, 170 digs and 11 blocks under the tutelage of head coach Dina Fritz. Off the court Becker was a member of the Student Council for 3 years, and won the Arion Award in Choir in 2017. “I chose Miles Community College, because it was close to home,” Said Ashley Becker. “Another reason why is because MCC is a smaller college and coming from a class C school I felt that it would be an easy transition from only having twenty-six kids in my class. MCC has been the number one choice on my list from the beginning of the year mainly because of the wonderful reviews on their nursing program.“
