(Miles City, MT) Miles Community College Women’s Basketball coach, Liz Lewis, is proud to announce the signing of Dakota Dosh to a National Letter of Intent. Dosh, the daughter of David and Kerry Dosh, is a 5’7 guard of Cutbank High School and has officially committed to play for the Pioneers in 2017-18.

While at Cutbank Dakota Dosh played 4 years in basketball, volleyball and tennis. She was a standout basketball player earning First Team All-Conference in 2015 and All-State in 2016. She was also named a Great Falls Tribune Athlete of the Week in 2015 and a KSEN Athlete of the Week in both 2015 and 2016. Dosh also was named a volleyball First Team All-Conference player as well as a KSEN Athlete of the Week and Great Falls Tribune Athlete of the Week in 2015-16. Dosh dominated on the tennis court as well finishing 6th place at state in 2015 and being named the Great Fall Tribune Tennis Player of the Year in 2016.

“Dakota is a great addition to the Lady Pioneer program.” Said MCC Pioneers Women’s Basketball Coach Liz Lewis. “She is strong and has a solid skill set that can potentially benefit us in many areas. What really impressed our coaching staff is her love and passion for the game of basketball. She is grateful for her opportunity and will bring a great energy to our team."

Dosh had a great senior campaign on the basketball court for Cut Bank as she averaged 14.2 points per game, 6.7 rebound per game and 3.1 steals per game under the tutelage of head coach Brandon Kavanagh and assistant coach Jessica Henigman. In the classroom Dosh carried a 3.1 GPA and was a member of the Student Council for 3 years.

“I loved the welcoming feeling I got as soon as I met Coach Lewis and Coach Rayback,” Said Dakota Dosh. “Right away [they] were so enthusiastic and excited as much as I was. They started telling me about their basketball program and I knew I wanted to play for both of them. Their love for basketball is obvious and I cannot wait to put in the hard work for them”
