Colstrip Standout Inks with Pioneers

(Miles City, MT) Miles Community College head volleyball coach Chase Soennichsen is proud to announce that Emma Dudley has signed an NJCAA National Letter of Intent with MCC.

Dudley, a 5’7” setter out of Colstrip, MT, is the daughter of Craig and Cherish Dudley. The 2017 graduate of Colstrip High School joins the Pioneer volleyball program after a decorated high school career both on the court and off.

Dudley has excelled in the classroom during her time in Colstrip. She has landed on the honor roll at CHS for all 4 years of high school while setting the bar high with multiple semesters with a 4.0. Aside from the honor roll nominations, Emma has been on the Academic All-Team from her sophomore season through her senior season.

Dudley excels in the classroom, but her attitude and work ethic have carried over to the court. Dudley has earned nine varsity letters including four in volleyball, four in basketball, and one in track. During her athletic career at CHS, Dudley was an all-conference setter in 2015 and 2016, and landed on the All-State team her senior season.

Emma played for Angie Currier at CHS and her team saw plenty of success during her time on the court. With two runner up finishes at Districts, and two championships in 2015 and 2016, Dudley isn’t foreign to success. She was also a staple on the team during their third place finish at the state tournament in 2015. Dudley was also on the CHS basketball team that won both the district and divisional championships this year.

Emma Dudley on why she chose MCC:

“I chose MCC because I love the friendly and welcome environment. MCC has a good nursing program that will prepare me for my future. I love that Miles City is a smaller town like I have grown up in. It is a bright and shining community with genuine people/teachers who care about the student’ well-being.”
