MCC drops close game to NDSCS

(Williston, ND) The Lady Pioneers took on North Dakota State College of Science Friday afternoon. MCC had trailed by as much as 14 points in the first half, but they cut the lead down to 9 going into halftime after going on a 13-8 run. The Pioneers didn't get their first lead until the 3rd Quarter at the 6:48 mark, on a 3-pointer from sophomore guard Kayla Torio. Miles only led once in the game, and the final was 68-74.

The Pioneers scoring was led by Sophomore Guard Kayla Torio with 14 points, on 7-of-18 shooting from the field. Torio also added on 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

Miles CC out performed the Wildcats in several catagories such as, Bench Points(27), Points in the Paint(36), and Second Chance Points(10), however the Pioneers were beaten on Rebounds, Assists, and the had 18 Turnovers to the Wildcat's 10.

The Lady Pioneers will take on a tough Williston State College team on Saturday afternoon.
