Lady Pioneers thump Little Big Horn College

(Miles City, MT) The Lady Pioneers of Miles Community improved to 12-1 at home after a 93-37 victory over the Lady Rams of Little Big Horn College on Tuesday evening. With the win, MCC improves to 18-11 overall and 8-5 in the Region IX North. They currently sit in 4th place of the Region with 1 regular season game remaining. 

Miles jumped out to a 57-26 advantage at the break and never looked back as they shot 48% from the field and 60% from beyond the 3-pt. line. As a team they hit 13 shots from beyond the arc and out-rebounded LBHC, 56-23. 

The Pioneers also held distinct advantages over the Rams in assists (26-4), bench points (14-0),  and points in the paint (32-10).

Leading the charge was Jaycin Tini who poured in 25 points. Tini was almost perfect on the night after going 9-of-10 from the field, including 5-of-6 from 3-pt. range, and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. She added 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the victory.

Fellow Sophomore Savanah Robinson chipped in a career high 22 points after hitting 6-of-13 from long range. She also recorded her first double-double after pulling down 10 rebounds. She added 4 assists and 3 steals. 

Shelby Holmes also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Shelby Weeks added 14 points, while Lindsey Warner grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 7 assists. 

MCC closes out the regular season on Saturday, February 21st when they host Sheridan College at 3:00 pm.
